Greece

Greece is located in Europe and is made up of thousands of small islands. The capital city is Athens and the largest Greek island is Crete. The official language is Greek and currency is Euro. Greece has been a part of the Euro Zone for a number of years and is a member of the United Nations. Greece is a member of many international institutions such as Council of Europe, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and World Trade Organization (WTO). Greece's residency by investment program, commonly known as the Golden Visa, allows non-EU nationals to obtain Greek residence through a qualifying investment, most commonly in real estate. Residence permits are granted for five years and are renewable indefinitely, with no minimum stay requirement to maintain or renew status. The program offers EU residence, Schengen Area travel access, and a potential long-term pathway for those who later choose to reside in Greece and meet citizenship eligibility requirement
