Jennifer: Jennifer Harding Marlin, an attorney that works at the law firm JH Marlin Law. So this video is going to talk about visiting St. Kitts and Nevis for the first time and the factors to consider when you want to come and visit St. Kitts and Nevis. It's an absolutely beautiful country, 100% worth visiting in your lifetime. Prior to coming, you may want to consider transportation and your arrival, so how you're going to get here. There are a variety of different airlines that offer sometimes direct flights, such as American Airlines, Delta, united amongst many other airlines. You can also consider flying through St. Martin, the Princess Juliana Airport, which is an international hub. And then you would want to fill out the immigration form on the St. Kitts official tourism website and this can facilitate your arrival so when you arrive, when you go through customs, it's a very quick process if you've already completed the online form.
Jennifer: And then you want to determine whether or not you want to arrive directly in St. Kitts or directly in Nevis. If you do arrive in St. Kitts and you will be staying in Nevis, then there are different ways that you can get to Nevis, either through the water taxi, which is the quickest route, There's also a sea bridge where you can take a car over between St. Kitts and Nevis and then there's a ferry in town and they have typically regular schedules and you can reach your accommodation in Nevis. And then something else you may want to consider is your accommodation and the length of stay. Do you want to spend one week in St. Kitts and then one week in Nevis and or do you want to spend all your time on one island? Do you want to rent a place through Airbnb or RBO? Or do you want to stay in a luxury resort such as the one where I'm sitting here, private homes and villas as well as condos?
Jennifer: And so determining which island you want to stay on and for how long is another factor you may want to consider. Depending on your accommodation, you may want to cook your own food and or go out to restaurants and experience the local cuisine. There's lots of grocery stores locally as well as fruit stands and the local market where you can pick up fresh produce and as well you can go out to choose to go out to different restaurants in both St. Kitts and Nevis. Just so many different options as well a lot of the restaurants will have live music and locations will have live music and you don't want to miss the live music in St. Kitts and Nevis. There's so many talented musicians. There's always different events and parties going on. So maybe you would want to coordinate your stay around a particular event such as the St.
Jennifer: Kitts Music Festival and or the Nevis Mango Festival or Kulturama or any of the festivals or events such as the Nevis Cross Channel Swim and or running events that occur on island.
Jennifer: Other things you may want to consider when you're here is activities to do, things to do, what to see and how you're going to spend your time. Do you want to relax on the beach for most of it? Or do you want to be on the go and hiking the mountain in Nevis and or doing specific activities. There's hiking options in St. Kitts, there's off-roading on 4x4s, there's horseback riding, there's tennis, there's golf, there's yoga, there's scuba diving and fishing. And just so many activities. If you're into arts, there's different boutiques, there's historical sites like Brimstone Hill that you may want to consider visiting, and then also determining whether or not you want to meet with people locally and who, you know, if you'd like to schedule a meeting, we'd be happy to meet with you and show you around the islands of both St. Kitts and Nevis.
Jennifer: And if you want to conduct business, you may want to consider time for business as well as pleasure and factor that in to your stay in St. Kitts and Nevis. It's one of my favorite countries in the world. I absolutely love St. Kitts and Nevis and highly recommend that you come to visit.
