Grenada Citizenship for US Business Goals
The case study explains why Grenada can be relevant for clients who want a citizenship option connected to potential US E-2 visa planning.
This video talks about why we recommended a particular citizenship program based on a client's factual situations. Grenada citizenship has increased in popularity in 2022. Perhaps the increase in popularity for the Grenada citizenship program is in part due to Justin Sun who is big in the crypto world and who represents Grenada and has brought a lot of attention to the country and the citizenship by investment programme. Grenada is one of the higher priced citizenship programs. Grenada has visa free to China and is an E2 Country meaning that citizens from Grenada provided they meet specific requirements can apply for the E2 investor visa in the United States. There is no guarantee that you will be granted an E2 investor visa and a significant investment is required. None of the Caribbean citizenship by investment programmes offer visa free travel to the United States of America. However, as a passport holder you can apply for a multiple entry visa or a visa to travel to the United States. We have had clients successfully obtain visas to travel to the United States.
What This Video Covers
The case study explains why Grenada can be relevant for clients who want a citizenship option connected to potential US E-2 visa planning.
Jennifer discusses Grenada’s treaty relationship with the United States and notes that an E-2 visa still requires a separate application and meaningful investment.
The video highlights Grenada’s visa-free access to China as a factor for clients with business interests there.
The discussion notes that Grenada can be priced higher than some other Caribbean programs, but cost was not the main concern in this case.
Jennifer explains that in this specific fact pattern, the client wanted citizenship rather than immediate relocation or residency planning.
Jennifer: It's Jennifer Harding Marlin, an attorney that works at the law firm JH Marlin Law, a law firm that specializes in Citizenship by Investment. We've helped hundreds of clients acquire a second passport through Citizenship by Investment programs. We've helped people with Residency by Investment and create holistic Plan B options to legally reduce their taxes. So this video is video number seven in a series of ten that talk about why we recommended a particular citizenship program based on the client's specific situation. And so this video is gonna talk about how we ended up recommending the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program. So Grenada Citizenship by Investment in 2022 in particular has really grown in popularity. A lot of people want to do the Grenada Citizenship program.
Jennifer: I think this might have been driven in part by Justin Sun, who's into cryptocurrency, who acquired Grenada Citizenship program and sort of represents Grenada on the world stage.
Jennifer: And there's much more sort of marketing towards the Grenada Citizenship Program. But prior to the increase in interest in Grenada Citizenship Program, we have done, we have recommended Grenada Program to families from Indonesia, for example, and or other families that are looking to, whose ultimate goal is to kind of do business in the United States of America. So Grenada is an E2 country, meaning that it has a to the treaty with the United States. So citizens of Grenada can then invest and apply for the E-2 visa in the United States. But there's no guarantee that you'll get it and there's a significant investment involved if ultimately that is your goal and you also want to have visa-free to China and have a high level of visa-free travel, then Grenada might be an option that you want to consider. And in this particular case, it made the most since the client was not, costs were not an issue.
Jennifer: So Grenada is one of the sort of higher priced citizenship programs. And so doing Grenada, paying the higher price to do Grenada was not a problem. And also having visa free to China for business purposes was something that was advantageous. Any of, with any of the Caribbean Citizenship by Investment programs, you can apply for a multiple entry visa and or a visa to go to the United States. And so we have had clients that have even been had citizenship, citizenship from a Citizenship by Investment country and actually had a criminal record and then were later able to apply and successfully obtain a multiple entry visa for the United States. So this is just an example of a case study where Grenada Citizenship by Investment program was recommended in this specific situation. They at this time were not willing, they did not want to relocate elsewhere.
Jennifer: And so this is why we didn't do Residency by Investment and or bank accounts or assist with anything else apart from the Grenada Citizenship Program. All right. Bye for now. Bye.
