Single Applicant Plan B Strategy
The case study follows an American single applicant who wanted a backup passport and more diversification.
Citizenship by Investment & Plan B Backup option case study #5 talks about a specific client situation and why we recommended a specific citizenship by investment program. The case study involves a US client (single applicant) with a networth of around US$3million. He was not feeling comfortable with some aspects going on in the United States particularly where people feel divided and there is increased violence in the US. Dominica is a safe country that is naturally very beautiful with lush vegetation. The Dominica citizenship by investment program is one of the most affordable options for single applicants under the donation option and Dominican passport holders even have visa free acces to China. When doing the Dominica CBI program, they request that you show your net worth. Provided that you are not all into cryptocurrency and can provide sources of funds outside of crypto then Dominica could be a great option. Provided you wish to add family members to an application at a later date it is more expensive compared to other programs.

Jennifer: It's Jennifer Harding Marlin, an attorney that works at the law firm JH Marlin Law, a law firm in the Caribbean that specializes in Citizenship by Investment. As you can see, once again, I'm not in the Caribbean. I'm currently in beautiful Norway. And so this video is video number five, which is going to talk about a specific client situation and why we ended up recommending a specific citizenship over others based on discussions with the clients and facts particular to the client. So I'm just giving general information here. It's not specific to your specific case and constitutes just general information and not specific advice. However, in this particular situation, we had an American who was a single applicant and he wanted to have a Plan B backup passport. He was feeling a bit uncomfortable with what was going on in the States.
Jennifer: With the directions that the United States were going and the position that the United States had taken on certain issues.
Jennifer: And so he had a net worth of around $3 million and so he wanted to get a second passport. And so we ended up recommending Dominica, particularly in this case was that he had multiple sources of income and he was able to demonstrate his income. He wasn't someone who was all in on cryptocurrency. And he really liked the country of Dominica. And so Dominica offers quite a high level of visa-free travel and is one of the most cost-friendly for single applicants. I mentioned this in another video that both St. Lucia and Dominica are the most cost-effective. But looking from a visa-free travel perspective, Dominica has visa-free to China and St. Lucia does not have visa-free to China. Dominica, if you were going to go live in the country, there's less of an expat community when compared to St. Lucia, because St. Lucia has a much bigger population.
Jennifer: They have much more of a music scene and bigger expat community. But for this specific case, Dominica seemed to be the best fit for this particular client. And yes, so single applicants, just because St. Lucia and Dominica are the more affordable options. Sometimes people want to be in a country where there is no personal income tax and have more visa-free travel. So St. Kitts and Nevis and Antigua and or Grenada, you can also apply as a single applicant. So I'll do another video about a completely different situation for clients from a completely different country and why we recommended a specific citizenship over others. Okay, bye for now. Bye.
